Hungate wins at Yorkshire Residential Property Awards!

Weedon Architects, who have been working with Hungate Regeneration ( a joint venture between Lendlease and Evans Property Group) in York, since 2013, were delighted when Hungate won 'Best Regeneration Project' in this year’s Yorkshire Residential Property Awards.

This annual event, attended by over 500 people from the Yorkshire Residential property sector is organised by Variety, the children’s charity and celebrates the success of the Yorkshire Residential Property sector over the previous year.

The award recognises the hard work of the Client and the Design and Construction Teams to deliver this exceptional scheme within the historic city walls of York.

Hungate is one of the largest residential projects underway in Yorkshire, where a total of 1.025 new homes will be delivered, on the last brownfield site with the city walls.

Weedon’s involvement has been the design and delivery of Leetham House, which contains 195 apartments, a small retail unit, podium courtyard and basement car park, which completed earlier this year, and are currently appointed as executive architects on two of the next block’s, with one of these block’s (101 apartments plus mscp) recently starting on site.
